Bio
My name is Jaden Sale, and I’m in my senior year studying New Media Arts at the University of North Texas. I’m interested in virtual reality and creating spaces that people can explore. I especially enjoy recreating places from movies and TV shows because it gives me a way to experience those places beyond watching them on a screen. When I use a VR headset, I explore other people's worlds and Google Earth VR to feel calm, not necessarily to play games.
My interests have become part of what I make as an artist. I like sharing the experience of walking through a fictional place and showing people what is possible with VR. As I continue learning, I want to build my portfolio and figure out how to turn this work into a job. My goal is to keep making experiences that anyone can enjoy, no matter who they are and what they like.
Statement
I create experiences in virtual spaces using a Virtual Reality headset. I like making environments that people can walk through and explore, especially places inspired by movies and TV shows. I enjoy taking something you would normally only see on a screen and making it feel like you are actually there. Virtual reality gives me a way to share those spaces with other people.
When I make a space, I think about what it will feel like to be inside it. Things like lighting, sound, and the size of objects can change how someone experiences a place. I want people to feel curious and spend time looking around. My goal is to create something that different people can enjoy and show them some of the possibilities of VR.
